Il Vitigno is a special case. Held by an enthusiast who has a small apartment complex in southern Italy and offers a weekly rental, with room service, croissants in front of the door and all the information and good places to know in the area.
The client didn’t have a website yet, so I jumped on the opportunity to set up a little Symfony, which I had just discovered while working at Netinfluence. Obviously, in hindsight, a simple static HTML site would have been enough, but at the time, building the pages with Symfony and Twig seemed like a great idea, especially with the idea of being able to manage reservations (which never materialized).
The site was very easy and fast to set up, it was even, until today, the fastest of my career.
I unfortunately didn’t have any screenshots from back then, and the wayback machine doesn’t have any history either, so I can only let you imagine a multilingual internal site, with beautiful pictures of beaches and sunshine 🌅 (only 2 minutes from the apartments).
Today the site still exists, and the design although different is still pretty close to what I had set up. So if you want to go on vacation in the south of Italy, it’s here: https://ilvitigno.ch
